We had such a great time taking pictures at Medicine Park Oklahoma near Mount Scott and the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. Shantel and Chris are such an amazing couple who were so giggles and didn’t mind taking a short hike up to get some nice mountain views. These images don’t do it justice on how beautiful these mountains were. If you ever want to take pictures here for an engagement or wedding, PLEASE let us know! If you are looking for a barn styled wedding in Oklahoma City, we highly suggest you check out the Barn at the Woods! Andrew and Lauren were so great to work with! They were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. They let us use the green couch that you will see below in the highlights and coordinated with the Bridal Boutique in Norman to help out with the two wedding dresses you will see below. Photographically, The Barn at the Woods is an amazing venue! It has so many different areas to photograph, I would call it a photographers playground. There is a large tree in the back of the house which would be a great backdrop for an outdoor wedding ceremony or you can use the side of the barn in case you have guests that cannot walk very far.
Hair and Makeup Artist: Beckie Kinard
I can’t stress again how helpful Beckie was. I met her and her husband at a Vendors Showcase. I asked her to help out with all of our styled shoots. Since Beckie has been doing hair for over 20 years, she skillfully put together Hannah’s hair. Halfway through the shoot, she changed the hair for a second look. Even though she was there to do hair, she marched around with us in the cold with us and helped out.

It was COLD! Don’t let the warm tones in the pictures fool you! The temperature that day was a high of 40 degrees and it didn’t help that it was windy. Hannah wore her jacket in-between shots to prevent her arms from going numb. She is such a delight to shoot for she’ll try some adventurous poses to do.

Bre and I just moved to Oklahoma and we honestly just want to encourage at least one family, one couple, even one person. When we have our photo sessions, our goal isn’t to take the pictures the leave. Our goal is to make a connection and become friends with who we are taking pictures with. Can we talk about how much of a dreamy winter wonderland this session was?! And to top it off Caila and Tristan were so humbly genuine the whole time and such a joy to be around. There was even a snowball fight to conclude the session! Seriously so much fun! We are so happy to be sharing these pictures and completely stoked for their big day in June!
We are so excited to share Mackenzie and Dani’s gorgeous wedding with you all today! They celebrated their special day at John James Audubon center which was surrounded by beautiful greenery and gorgeous stone buildings! It was our first Pennsylvania wedding, and we would definitely call it a very beautiful success!
Their wedding day was perfect! We did have a little surprise thunderstorm, but luckily it held off until the reception when everyone was inside. But! With a thunderstorm comes gorgeous sunsets to follow, and we have the pictures in this post to show it off!
Mackenzie and Dani share such a sweet, fun love for each other. The kind that you can’t help but smile when you see them together. We are so glad we were able to be apart of their special day! We can’t say it enough just how beautiful this day was. From the couple, to the guest and all the way to the bride’s sparkly Ked’s tennis shoes!

When we were little girls I remember Brenna and I chatting about when we would get married and what our weddings would be like. Our friendship all started in third grade and has lasted through many years of dance and try outs, drivers ed, going to separate colleges and now being married women. Looking back now it all seemed to fly by, but I am so excited to see what our futures hold!
Brenna has always been the smart one in the friendship, while I thrived on my creativity. So while she was in AP Calculus I was rockin my A’s and B’s in on level Algebra, haha! I always loved how comfortable we were to be ourselves around each other even from the beginning. And that is one thing that is definitely apparent in Brenna and Marcus’s relationship. They are comfortable to be themselves and they love each other for who they are.
With Brenna and I going to college on opposites sides of the country I didn’t get to see Marcus much but a few years ago over break I got to meet this guy that I had been hearing so much about and from the beginning I could see how much he cared for her.
Four years quickly go by and me along with our other girlfriends are just waiting for that moment Brenna tells us she’s engaged! And sure enough, March 2016 comes around and there’s a big sparkly rock her hand!
The wedding day was so stunningly simple and beautiful. The florals, the simple candle lighting along the aisle, it really created a unique style to their day. It was such an honor to not only stand by her side as her Matron of Honor, but also be the ones to capture their beautiful moments. Lots of laughter and dancing filled the evening! One of the best parts of the wedding was seeing both sets of parents out on the dance floor just killing it!
Marcus and Brenna, you guys are a wonderful couple and I am so happy that you both have found each other. Dale and I wish you guys all the best! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day!! We love you both! Welcome to the newlywed’s club!
I LOVE bridals! This bridal session is especially close to me because the beautiful bride is my best friend! We have been dying to post these beautiful pictures and now that the wedding is over, here they are for all to see! Brenna was a stunning bride and Ashton Gardens was a dream to capture the pictures in! From the spiral staircase and natural lighting from the windows in the chapel- it was all perfect!

So confession time: its been way too long since we have posted a blog. Both of us being full time students in grad school, having jobs and running our own creative business makes for a crazy life. So prepare for gorgeous wedding pictures because they are coming! And to start off the new year, we will share the Allensworth’s beautiful day!
Five years ago, little college freshman Bre embarked on her college journey to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Before classes even started I had met 3 fabulous girls, one of them being Angel. It was such a fun friendship, consisting of late night movie nights, jamming to T-Swift in her car, baking and other freshman year memories! About a month into the semester Dylan was introduced to the group. From the beginning, I could tell just how much he cared about Angel. I then transferred to Liberty and the next three years absolutely flew by!
It was so wonderful getting to catch up and reconnect with Angel and Dylan throughout the whole planning process. They both have such a strong devotion not just to each other but to God and the people around them. It was such an honor to be a part of their very special day and getting to be there to celebrate your first step together as husband and wife! Dale and I wish you nothing but bliss and many blessings!
Katie and Warren's Virginia wedding at Sorella Farms turned a warm August afternoon into an overwhelmingly beautiful occasion. From the floral arrangements to the vintage plates on the head table, it was all so gorgeous. Katie's dress had a very unique vintage touch that she wore beautifully.
Their love for one another is so apparent and honestly it was so sweet to see them interact with one another. Both Dale and I had a blast being apart of their special day! When it came time for the first dance it was all I could do not to shed a few tears, and I'm usually not emotional at all. Their friends and family were so much fun, especially when it came to the dance floor. There were guys flipping and doing the worm! After the I Do's, it was a party for sure!
Katie and Warren are both so kind hearted people and were an absolute joyful couple to work with. To see how much they love each other and Christ is just such a beautiful sight. Congratulations Katie and Warren! Dale and I wish you both nothing but the best!
Last week we drove out to Peak of Otter Lodge in the Blue Ridge Mountains and shot a beautiful engagement session with this wonderful couple. Kara and Ryan were full of smiles, but I mean how could you not be when the weather is perfect and there is mountain range for your background. Dale and I are so excited to share these pictures with you all! Looking forward to there fall wedding this November!
The first time we met with Fabine she was fully of joy and laughter, even with Anthony being away at training leaving the wedding date to be determined, she had nothing but joy.
When she emailed us telling us know that the wedding would be in DC at a war memorial we were so stoked! From the single violinist to the small gathering of loved ones, Fabine and Anthony's day radiated with simplicity and intimacy. They are a beautiful couple and we are so excited to share these pictures with you all! Congratulations Fabine and Anthony!

While we were down in Houston we got to take engagement pictures of this adorable couple! I (Bre) have known Brenna since 3rd grade and I am so incredibly happy that my best friend has found this incredible man to take care of her. The whole session was full of laughter and weird looks, mainly given by Brenna, but it was so great to photograph the happiness that these two have together. Dale and I got to be apart of our first military wedding! Rachel and Luke met each other at the Coast Guard Academy, which is also where they met Dale! Rachel was a glowing bride with a permanent smile on her face throughout the whole day. Both of them were that couple that you could just tell not only loved each other but cherished the friendship they had with one another. Dale and I had a blast being apart of their special day! Congratulations Rachel and Luke!
